My Girl – Love You To The Moon And Back!

This layout is one I made at the Crafty Blogger’s Retreat last month, I’ve finally finished the hidden journaling, so I can show the page to you!

My Girl:

My Girl layout by Jennifer Grace, using Elle's Studio 'You & Me'

I used mainly the Elle’s Studio You & Me collection, with a few other bits and pieces. The layout was inspired by the ‘Love you to the moon and back’  note tag which I couldn’t wait to use:

I’ve used it as the top flap for some hidden journaling. The journaling is written on two note tags from The Sweet Life collection. The ‘True Story’ one is layered onto some paper that I gutted from the background sheet (from behind the photo), and then stuck to the back of the ‘moon and back’ tag. The ‘Enjoy the Moment’ tag is adhered to the layout, and then I joined them together with washi tape to make the flap:

The journaling reads:

‘I was trying to take a photo of these pretty flowers, but you had to jump in front and pose for a picture! You like to do all kinds of silly faces at first, but when I say ‘smile nicely now’, this is the sweet angel face you give me!

How I love you, for your sense of fun, but also for how much of a cute and lovely girl you can be!’

I borrowed a couple of things from other crafters at the retreat – the Pink Paislee She Art doily mask that I’ve sprayed Mister Huey’s Opaque White mist through (thanks Fay!) and the Martha Stewart 1″ Starburst punch which I used to punch some ledger paper (thanks Kirsty!). I want both these things for myself now though, especially the punch, but it seems to be quite hard to get hold of. Just look how cute the starbursts are peeking out from beneath the Elle’s tags:

This ‘Chalk Love’ paper is so fun, I like how the hearts printed down the side look a bit like arrows!

Do you want to see some of the silly poses my daughter did before the angel-face one?

  2. Wonderfully effective with that dark background and I love ALL the photos of her! Your hidden journaling is nicely tucked away but without being bulky – something that is important to me on pages. Great stuff!

  3. This is such a sweet, sweet layout, from the photo to the papers to the misting.
My girls still make those silly faces and they are adults now, lol.
