(Did you miss my giveaway? See it HERE!)
Today is the Counterfeit Kit Challenge Member’s Blog Hop for April! If you want to learn more about this you can head back to to the start at the CKCB HERE. If you are hopping along you should have arrived via the lovely Julie at Spend Less Craft More, and I shall send you onwards at the end of my post!
This is my layout based on the inspiration photo from Challenge #1…
Hello Daffodils:
Everything is from my April Counterfeit Kit and Gold Add-On, except the sheet of green cardstock.
Here’s the inspiration photo…
I used the colour scheme and the fact that there’s more ‘white’ space on the left hand side.
This photo of my daughter in the yellow daffodils was perfect, as they look like the yellow flowers in the inspiration photo, and it gave me a great reason for a bold pop of yellow on my page:
I used one of my handmade tidbits, layered up with tags, a doily, and some word beads, to add lots of interest:
When the layout was very nearly finished I realised I hadn’t used any stamps, and I keep adding stamps to my kits because I want to use them more. So I stamped this pointing hand to start my journaling and I love it!
The journaling reads: ‘We were driving home from a car boot sale and I spotted this patch of daffodils. There were so many and they looked so bright and happy, I had to stop and take a photo of you in them. You were being very careful not to tread on any, but you didn’t want to leave – you wanted to play hide and seek in the trees!’
What do you think of the layout? It ended up quite busy-looking for my current style, but I kind of like it, and I’m pleased to have used the blue and red patterned paper at the top, which has been in my stash for ages!
Now you need to hop onwards to the wonderful Jemma at Just JimJams.
