Easter Cakes – a Layout for SJ Crafts

Did you all have a nice weekend?

We had a lovely one. My husband was actually off work for the Sunday and Bank Holiday Monday – he rarely has a bank holiday weekend off. And it was actually sunny! We enjoyed a car-boot sale and a playpark on Sunday, and yesterday we visited Corfe Castle for the May fair – we ate ice creams, hunted for shields so Little Miss could win a ‘medal’, and wobbled our way over some stepping stones in the river. It was all great family time!

The layout I’m sharing today is from another holiday weekend – it all about some cakes we made on Easter Sunday this year.

I made this page for SJ Crafts, it went live on the SJ Crafts Blog yesterday. I was focusing on one of my favourite techniques for an ‘inspiration’ series we have going on there at the moment. Mine is all about how I love to scatter! You knew that about me right?

Go check out my post right HERE – it has some step-by-step photos and tips about how I put this page together!

I used lots of the Crate Paper Maggie Holmes collection pack,  and the DIY Shop collection pack. There’s also some Mister Huey Pretty Pink Mist, Studio Calico Wood Veneer Tiny Stars (painted pink) and Cameras (painted light blue), some sequins and gems, and the alphas are Glitz Cashmere Dame Tiffany Blue Teeny-Alphas, and Crate Paper Acorn Avenue Macaw Wood Thickers.

It’s nice, bright, and happy – just like the last two days were for me! Of course now it’s grey and drizzly again here, but we can’t expect too much can we? It the perfect excuse to stay inside and do a bit more crafting…

Bye for now, x

  1. Wow! I love this layout! The background paper is to die for! You have done such a wonderful job with all the small bits and pieces and the grounding is perfect without feeling heavy! I might have to scraplift this one! Thank you so much for sharing and inspiring!

  2. I suspect I need to get a bit braver and bolder with my scattering! I was inspired to try it after your fabby blog event on one of the pages I shared and I think I need to try it a bit more!!
