The Fall Splendor event is filled with inspiration from PaperHaus and the contributors, so make sure you click through every blog for inspiration. Also comment on every blog to get a chance to win an amazing daily prize!

If you’re hopping along you should have reached me via Lizzie at Oh Snap Lizzie, and I’ll send you onwards at the end of this post. If you are new to the hop please check out the start of the hop at the PaperHaus Magazine blog, where there’s also details of today’s prize sponsored by 7 Dots Studio. Check out the other hops days too, for more awesome prizes, this is day four and there are many other giveaways to enter, with hops every day from the 1st to the 15th of September! You have until the 15th of September to enter them all!

Today I want to show this Thankful card. I know thanksgiving is approaching in the US, and though we don’t celebrate it here in the UK, I usually find myself being extra thankful in the fall. Autumn is my favourite season – I like the cooler days which mean I snuggle down with my family more. I’m also thankful for being part of the PaperHaus magazine, it makes me proud to have projects alongside so many talented people. Finally I’m thankful because I won this Jillibean Soup Cold Avocado Soup collection during CHA reveals on their blog!

Do like the glittery bow? It’s super easy to add a little bling to your bows! I shared this tip during my Projects that WOW! class and I’ve been using it lots since so I thought I’d show it off here too:

Step 1: Make, or find, a bow with a flat centre section. Mine came off a box of chocolates!

Step 2: Apply a thick layer of Mod-Podge to the centre of the bow:

Step 3: Tip on a hearty amount of glitter, I used American Crafts WOW ‘Peacock’ Chunky Glitter:

Step 4: When the Mod Podge has dried, shake off the excess glitter and add the bow to your project! It adds a lovely shimmer:

Now you’ve seen my project, leave me a comment to let me know what you think, and then hop onwards to the 7 Dots Studio Blog!

And don’t forget to check out the Fall Issue of the PaperHaus Magazine if you haven’t already – I have 3 projects in this issue, see if you can spot them!

See you soon, Jennifer x

  1. I love the card, and thanks for sharing the tip about mod podge and glitter. I really like your re-purpose of ribbon from chocolate box. I sometimes find packaging too pretty to throw away.

  2. I feel vindicated! I’ve saved the bows from boxes of chocolate and other gifts. I love the idea of using them and then adding the bling. Every page needs something shimmery and shiny. I adore your layout. Thank you!
