Frosty Festivities Christmas & Winter, Scrapbook Layouts

Bead Buddies Pink Layout

(This post is part of my Frosty Festivities 2013 Blog Event)

This photo of my daughter and her best friend making bead bracelets for each other needed a lot of pink!

They look so cute in their snugly winter sleepwear. I decided polka-dots was the perfect partner for all the pink on this page, so I went through the Crate Paper Bundled Up collection, searching for as many polka dots as possible! I found the Noel sheet for the background, a sheet with pink dots on a blue background in the 6×6 Pad, some polka-dot frames from the Ephemera, and a dotty Journal Card too!

I knew I wanted to use lots of snowflakes from the Chipboard Elements too, so I layered the title onto my photo so it didn’t take up too much space:

I found this ‘Elf and Safety’ wood veneer at Hobbycraft, and I’d been waiting for the perfect place to use it:

There’s a blank label at the bottom of the page because I’m going to use it to right the girl’s names on.

When I originally planned the page I had the whole thing on a pink background paper, but I really wanted to use this ‘baby it’s cold outside’ journal card, so I changed the background paper just for that! There would have been too much pink otherwise:

The page is sweet and girly, but still nice and wintry!

  1. that is a really cute layout I think pink and best girly friends go perfectly together and I have actually made a pink winter LO once before even though I don’t do a lot of pink!!

  2. Adorable little gals featured in a very sweet girly LO. Love the pink and polka dots together. Perfect!

  3. I love this page. The colors are girly but the combo definitely has a wintry feel with the snowflakes mixed in. Great mix of patterns too!

  4. pink at christmas? now you’re talking my language! I have had a baby/ice pink colour themed Christmas for three years now and this year will be no exception!
