A Challenge – To Use Teal, Orange, and White {NOW CLOSED}

(This post is part of my Refresh Your Craft & Soul Blog Event – see the beginning HERE!)

I thought we should have another challenge {NOW CLOSED} to get the day really moving!

This one is a colour combination challenge, to use Teal, Orange and White:

Teal & Orange Colour Challenge at Jennifer Grace Creates

These are the colours I’ve suggested, but you don’t have to match the shades perfectly. Just make sure you have orange and blue hues as the dominant colours on your project!

The winner of this challenge will receive this prize:

Colour Challenge Prize at Jennifer Grace Creates

A pack of Crate Paper The Pier Alphas, and a Glitz Uncharted Waters Washi Tape and Roller Doodle!

Here’s a layout for some inspiration…

Living Life To The Max:

I shared this photo on instagram last summer, after adding the overlays with the Rhonna Designs App. My sister is so cool because she loves the seaside as much as I do, and she’s play in the sand and swim in the sea with me – my hubby doesn’t really like the beach, so it’s very refreshing when I get to go with another grown up who likes it there!

I used one of my Happy Scatter Seaside Smiles Die Cut Cards, and added a ‘flag’ to the top of the sandcastle using a chipboard sticker and a paper scrap:

I was quite impressed that I managed to find lots of alphas in the right hues to spell out my title:

I found lots of other bits and pieces too – the cloud in the top right is cut from the Refresh Your Craft & Soul Free Printable Sheet:

See how the word ‘sea’ is written on a separate piece of paper? I wrote the wrong word (I said she’d swim in the sand – doh!), so I covered it up with a bit of paper. It’s my favourite lazy way to cover a journaling mistake!

Be Inspired:

Use a refreshing teal & orange colour combination

Add an extra detail to an embellishment (like the flag on the castle)

Have at least 4 different alpha sets in one title

To enter this challenge {NOW CLOSED}: Make something using the orange, white and teal (or blue) colour combination, and blog about it or upload it to an online gallery. Then come back here and add it to the Linky Tool below! You can enter this challenge as many times as you like, and you can combine it with other challenges (mine or other online challenges).

The challenge will close next Sunday the 15th of June at 10.59pm BST. It is open internationally.

I’ll see you again in an hour! Have fun crafting! Jennifer x

Remember that commenting on this post, and any other over this weekend, will count as another entry into the Grand Giveaway, but only if you’ve registered your interest in winning that prize right HERE!  {NOW CLOSED}

  1. What a lovely happy, summery page Jennifer – I always love this colour combo, it’s very uplifting :o) The mixed alpha title looks really cool and so does the instagram overlay. Must get into Instagram – I signed up and that’s as far as it went at the moment!
