(This post is part of my Frosty Festivities 2015 Blog Event – see a list of all the posts HERE)
I’m so excited, as it’s time for the Frosty Festivities 2015 Blog Hop! It’s a chance to hop around and visit some of my online friends’ blogs, to see how they’ve been inspired by the winter or Christmas theme. If you’ve only just discovered my blog via one of the other blogs in the hop then ‘hello’! It’s nice to meet you. I’m Jennifer Grace and I’m the host of the hop – it’s part of a month-long event I’m holding, full of tutorials, giveaways, and more!
I’m going to share a project, then at the end of this post I will send you on to the next blog in the hop. I’ve also got a list of all the blogs in the hop in case you get lost anywhere. If you visit and comment on all the blogs in the hop then you’ll be entered to win this prize {NOW CLOSED}:
It includes a Lawn Fawn ‘Ready, Set, Snow’ stamp set, half of a ‘Let’s Bokeh In The Snow’ 6×6 pad, and bakers twine, along with an A5 sketchbook, some metallic rhinestone stickers, a couple of Christmas ribbons, and a few other bits and pieces!
The giveaway is open internationally, and it closes on Sunday the 6th of December 2015 (the same as all the other giveaways that are part of Frosty Festivities 2015 – see them all HERE). The winner will be announced on my blog on Thursday the 10th of December, so make sure you check back then to see if you won!
Here’s my project for the hop. I decided to keep it simple with a decorated notebook which could be a stocking filler or teacher gift:
I started with a plain notebook (or sketchbook – the pages are plain), the stamp set, rhinestones, and some scraps of paper from the 6×6 pad:
I stamped the snowglobe, trees, sentiment, and snow all as one layer onto a piece of white card, using Avery Elle ink pads:
I cut some squares of different sizes from the paper scraps, then cut the squares in half diagonally to make triangles. I didn’t measure them at all. When I’d cut a good number out I arranged them on the notebook cover, with the snowglobe, and stuck them down once I was happy with the design:
I dotted a few silver metallic rhinestones around the triangles pattern:
And used Mod Podge to add some green fine glitter to the trees to make them look a bit more special:
Then it was all finished and ready to gift to someone this Christmas:
Be Inspired:
Cut some triangles from Christmas patterned paper to use on a project
Stamp an embellishment to use near the center of a scrapbook layout or card
Use 4 shades of green (I used 2 colours of green ink, green paper, and green glitter – all a slightly different shade)
Now it’s time to send you on to the next blog in the hop – the fabulous Claire at Creative Makings!
If you get lost during the hop then here’s the full list to help you out:
.
Remember to comment on them all for the chance to win the blog hop prize of Lawn Fawn goodies and more!
I’ll see you again tomorrow for the next Frosty Festivities project!
Jennifer x

Your card is gorgeous! I love the idea of the triangles – such a fab design! And I have a thing for snow globes – just love them! I just finished your blog hop and was blown away by the creativity, talent, and the variety of designs! I was so tickled to see Sheena’s crocheted decorations because I just bought a how-to DVD and book on crochet and now I’m even more excited to start! Loved seeing all the LOs, cards, and decor items too! As for your prize, Woohoo! My eyes focused directly on the Lawn Fawn snowglobe set that you used on your card – I’ve been looking at this stamp set longingly for a few weeks. I’m really hoping to see my name on your “Winner Winner, Chicken Dinner” post for this one! What a Christmas present this would be! Thank you so much!

Leslie, thank you so much for this comment, I needed to read this! This week has been a busy struggle and I’ve had a few moments trying to decide whether this might be my last blog event like this, as it takes so much work. But I do love it and love to see the same names returning again and again, year after year, to leave comments. So thank you for appreciating the hard work and for keeping me going with your positive comments. I am so glad to have met you too! x
