A Giveaway! Sponsored by SVG Files Shop!

SVG Files Shop is a recent discovery of mine. It has almost 300 wonderful images which you can use with a digital die-cutting machine. Trish is so talented to design all these – I wanted to buy so many files! And they are very reasonably priced. A great way to build up your SVG collection!

Read on for the chance to win YOUR CHOICE of 10 FILES from the SVG Files Shop!

Here’s a few of the SVG Files which go well with the Frosty Festivities theme…

1. Christmas, Holidays, Merry – I am in love with how the ‘Merry Christmas’ on this is spelled out with candy cane letters. So much fun! This would make a great window or wall decoration:

2. Merry Christmas, Happy New Year – The way this is arranged around a Christmas ornament is genius! I love the reindeer leaping and the twirly bits above the sentiment which end with ornaments hanging from them. The attention to detail is so impressive:

3. Happy Holiday – The wreath on this is so pretty, I’m sure I can use it on lots of projects all year round. The bow at the bottom is just lovely:

How To Use Digital Overlays To Make Pretty Festive Projects!

(This post is part of my Frosty Festivities 2015 Blog Event – see a list of all the posts HERE)

This morning you saw the first sponsored giveaway, with a prize of some beautiful digital overlays from the Lettera Etc Etsy shop. If you missed it you can enter the giveaway HERE {NOW CLOSED}. Now I’m back to show you how to use digital overlays to make pretty festive projects, including a video tutorial for the digital editing!

I purchased the Christmas Word Art Volume 2 set:

Aren’t they lovely?!

I recorded a video to show how I used these. I mostly used PicMonkey to edit them, as it’s a free online tool that most should be able to access (I would normally edit in Adobe Illustrator but I’m aware not many of my readers will have that), and I also used Microsoft Word for one to show that they can be used there too. Here’s the video (you can also watch it on YouTube HERE):

And here are the photos which are shown at the end of the video on case you want another look…

The items all printed out using my laser printer:

I foiled the black ‘Joy To The World’ page using my Heidi Swapp Minc Machine and gold foil:

I used one of the items as a tag, and I’m keeping the ‘ho ho ho’ as an embellishment to use on a layout, along with the photo which I printed using my Canon Selphy:

I put this ‘Joy To The World’ phrase in a black frame for a quick home-decor piece:

And I made a few simple cards using the images with overlays – adding sequins to the ‘sparkle’ card, and gems to the card with my son on (which I’m totally going to send to his teacher for Christmas!):

What do you think? Have I inspired you to get some digital overlays to use on a project?

Be Inspired:

Use a digital overlay, stamp etc on your next project – either a digital project or a hybrid one (where you’ve printed something)

Create a flat simple card with just a sheet of patterned paper or a couple of stamps (maybe add some gems though!)

Use gold foil or something reflective and shiny

Do you use digital items much in your crafting? Let me know in the comments below!

Remember that commenting on this post, and any post that goes live during November 2015, will count as another entry into the Grand Giveaway {NOW CLOSED}, but only if you’ve registered your interest in winning that prize right HERE!

I’ll be back again tomorrow with the next project – at 2pm GMT as I’m giving myself the morning off!

Bye for now,

(This post is part of my Frosty Festivities 2015 Blog Event – see a list of all the posts HERE)

It’s time for the first sponsored giveaway {NOW CLOSED} of the event!

A Giveaway! Sponsored by Lettera Etc

Lettera Etc. is an Etsy shop selling beautiful word art and design elements that you can use on top of photos, or on your blog, or to print out, or make other projects with. Angela, the creator and owner of the store, has an amazing angel policy which you can see under her shop policies HERE, detailing all the many different and exciting ways you are allowed to use the images!

I fell in love with Angela’s designs, her writing is so pretty and the extra little touches like glittery wreaths really caught my attention.

Here’s a few of Angela’s items which go well with the Frosty Festivities theme:

1. Christmas Overlays (Wordart Volume 2) – I love how there’s a bold ‘Falalala’ in this set, as well as the gorgeous twirly writing on the other phrases, plus the gold and silver rosehip wreaths are just lovely:

2. Christmas Overlays (Wordart Volume 1) – These quotes are equally dreamy, my favourite is the ‘Believe in the magic of Christmas’ with the falling stars / snowflakes – it would be perfect just printed out and put in a frame:

3. Christmas Gift Tags (Bumper Volume 1) – I love how this set comes with a gift tag template, for you to be able to easily print these off and add an extra sparkle to your season:

Aren’t they all stunning?

If you aren’t sure how you’d use them don’t worry, I will be back later today with a tutorial for how I’ve used one of the sets. You can use them in Picmonkey if you don’t have photoshop! Pop back at 4pm GMT to see what I made!

Now for the giveaway…

A Giveaway! Sponsored by Lettera Etc.

One lucky winner will receive all three of the above files – a Christmas bundle to help you make your photos and projects truly festive!

P.S. Yes I couldn’t resist using the rosehip wreath for the prize image. It’s going to end up everywhere I’m sure!

To enter the giveaway {NOW CLOSED}: Just pop over to the Lettera Etc. Etsy Shop, take a look around, and come back here to leave a comment, telling me about an item or two that caught your eye (it doesn’t need to be Christmas or Winter related, just anything you like).

You could also pop by Lettera Etc’s Facebook Page to say hi! It’s not compulsory to visit the Facebook Page, but obviously Angela would love it if you stopped by. Make sure you tell her ‘thanks’ for sponsoring a giveaway prize!

The giveaway closes at 10pm GMT on Sunday the 6th of December 2015. It is open internationally. The winner will be announced here on Thursday the 10th of December, so make sure you check back to see if you won.

Good luck! I’ll see you again at 4pm!
