CHA Summer 2013 Product Picks!

I’m here to share the items I’m pining for since the manufacturers released sneaks of their new lines over the last couple of weeks. I intended to write this post up last week, but I keep seeing more and more new releases that I love!

I’m going to keep the text to a minimum as there’s lots I would love to get my hands on, so this is going to be a long post. I’m going to start with whole collections and then move onto individual items. Which new releases have caught your eye?

(Click on the collection name, or the photo, for a link to the manufacturer’s blog)

Whole Collections I Love:

Glitz Designs

This collection is my favourite from all the new releases. It made my heart beat a little faster when I saw it! I LOVE the colours, the dreamy feel, the deer and owls, the arrows and triangles, the sweet phrases. I can’t wait to get my hands on it all! Here’s the Title & Accent Stickers which are utterly perfect:

Hello December:

Regular readers will know that yellow is one of my favourite colours to craft with, so it’s no surprise that this Christmas collection with lots of yellow is very appealing to me!

The Giant Rhinestones are beautiful, I need a few packs of these. And the Deer Roller Doodle is too cute!

Crate Paper

Bundled Up

I loved the Crate Paper Sleigh Ride Collection last year, and this one is similar enough (bold shapes mixed with smaller patters, nice red & blue colours), and different enough (more snowmen, touches of gold),  so that I’m in love all over again. I will be needing lots of it, especially the adhesive flair badges:

Teresa Collins

Family Stories:

Family Stories

Teresa Collins hasn’t been on my radar much before, but this year her collections have really caught my eye! I love the pretty, everyday life feel of Family Stories, and I like how it includes anchors in a general life collection (rather than being nautical themed).

There’s been lots and lots of chalkboard products at this show (another chalkboard collection features further on in this post). I’ve decided this one is my favourite because it combines chalkboard with yellow and aqua-blue, my favourite crafting colours!

Pink Paislee

Hey Kid:

I was disappointed with Pink Paislee during Winter CHA, because most of their releases then were too romantic and vintage for me – I like it when they release fun and trendy collections, and they’ve hit the mark for me with Hey Kid! I like how it has both boy and girl items, and it’s so bright and happy!

I love this piece of die-cut paper (the holes are where you can see the black chevron pattern from the ‘b’ side showing through):

And these subway flags are oh-so-awesome:

That’s enough full collections to empty my pockets, let’s move on to individual items…

Individual Items:

My Mind’s Eye

Chalk Studio:

I like lots of this collection but I think I’ll only buy one or two papers, it’s the embellishments that really inrigue me, especially the Chipboard Elements above, and the Washi Tape below:

Cut & Paste (Charm Colourway):

I do like the whole of the Charm colorway, but it’s these Enamel Shapes which will definitely end up in my shopping basket:

Webster’s Pages

It’s Christmas:

I like a lot about this festive collection, designed by Allison Kreft, especially the Trim above, and the Stamps below, I can see me using both these on so many projects:

Another collection designed by Allison Kreft, and also gorgeous! It features anchors too, which you know I like! These envelopes are super cute:

Wild & Free:

This collection has been much talked about, and I know I’ll get the 6×6 pad and another item or two, and I really hope I can afford the Rubber Stamps – I love all the arrows:

Dapper Dan:

This is a great male collection, but the item I’m most likely to get is this Bow Ties Roller Doodle:

Crate Paper

Flea Market:

Designed by Maggie Holmes, this collection is lovely, and it includes this awesome Gold Washi Paper:

Fancy Pants

Collecting Moments:

I love the navy and coral colours in this collection, and the patterns will be good for all kinds of uses. The ticket rolls and resin flowers that Fancy Pants have brought out are so fabulous:

Wood Phrases:

Fancy Pants also brought out these large wood phrases which will be great focal points on layouts:

Bark Icons:

Continuing on the wood theme, how cool are these new bark icons from Prima?

Pink Paislee

Snow Village:

Snow Village is quite a cool festive collection, and I definitely want these Vellum Borders:

Color Shine:

Oooh, new Color Shine. Hello Coral, Seafoam, and Navy, you will be coming to meet me!

Edited to add – Jillibean Soup

Cold Avocado Soup:

How did I forget this collection when I first wrote this post? It was harder for me to remember because I hadn’t pinned it to my CHA Summer 2013 Pinboard, as Jillibean always use one long release photo, rather than individual images of the products, and I don’t like pinning the long images as much. But I’ve just been reminded how much I love it, because I just found out that I won the collection from their sneaks giveaways! I am so excited!

This is my favourite item from this collection, I love both sides of this paper so much:

Other collections that deserve a mention are:

Elle’s Studio Penelope (I especially like the new die-cut shapes)

American Crafts Dear Lizzy Polka Dot Party

Marion Smith Mad Tea Party (This link goes to a video as I can’t find any product photos, but it’s worth a watch – I love all the canvas items, the gold resist papers, and the journal cards!)

Basic Grey Gold & Silver Glittery Candy Buttons

Queen & Co Rainbow Coloured Jawbreakers

Phew! I think that’s quite enough to be going on with, don’t you? It will keep me busy this winter! What’s your must-have item or collection?

Bye for now, Jennifer x
