Keeping It Simple – Everyday Moments Layout

(This post is part of my Focus Your Craft & Soul Blog Event – see the list of all the posts HERE!)

Like my ‘Enjoy The Little Things’ Photo Binder, this everyday moments layout is about those snapshots of time that are often rushed through or unappreciated, but which all add up to make our lives special!

I took photos of lots of little moments during our normal days of school, nursery, and work for hubby, and then put them all into a photo collage in PicMonkey, using a ‘Jigsaw’ layout and setting the pixels to 3300 x 2100:

I printed the photo at 12 x 8″ – making sure to check the crop of the image – the left and right sides were cropped off slightly but it looked fine. Then I found a Simple Stories gridded piece of 12×12 paper (with a camera and some arrows on to fit our focus theme), and some Webster’s Pages ‘Dream In Colour’ stickers as I wanted to use the ‘live, laugh, love’ and ‘what a day’ stickers:

Then it was very easy to put the page together, as the photo collage took up so much of the page there wasn’t much else I could do!

I kept it simple even further by counting the ‘Life Documented’ words on the paper as my title. I added a small chipboard ‘right now’ circle to the center of the camera though – and added an enamel shape as a ‘flash’:

The journaling was prompted by one of the Amy Tangerine Creative Handbook practices that I showed you HERE – it was what I created from the blackout poem. I changed it and added to it a little but you can see the original black out poem is still there too:

I couldn’t just restrict the embellishments to the grid-patterned area as there was hardly any space there, so I did stick a few on top of the photo collage:

I just made sure not to add too many as I didn’t want to make it too busy!

Be Inspired:

Make a photo collage and use it on a project

Use words printed onto patterned paper as your title or sentiment

Add stickers or embellishments on top of a photo

Do you ever scrapbook the everyday moments? I certainly don’t do this enough. I think I should do a page like this once a year!

I’ll see you again at 7pm for another sponsored giveaway!
